Algorithmic Trading Strategies for DeFi
Trading Strategy CEO and Co-founder, Mikko Ohtamaa kicked off the DeFi meetup with an introduction into algorithmic trading strategies for DeFi markets.
Mikko has 25 years of experience in the software development industry. Over the past decade, he has been acting as the CTO of a host of companies, both in Europe and the US. Mikko was cofounder of TokenMarket – a blockchain fundraising platform that helped to raise over $350 million for its clients. Mikko was also co-founder and CTO of LocalBitcoins, a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchange. Mikko holds an MSc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Oulu.
DeFi: Unleashing Waves
Damex.io CIO and Co-founder, Jeremy King sits down to discuss the importance of stablecoins within the DeFi ecosystem.
Jeremy is currently building out Damex.io, leading the team's operational matters and overseeing their investment department. Jeremy also has successfully completed a BA (Hons) in Business Management with Economics at the University of Wolverhampton Business School. He has most recently participated in an MSc in Business Economics and Finance at Aston University Business School where he had focused on Advance Quantitative Methods, International Finance and where his dissertation focused on token economics.
Advanced Blockchain Design
Klaus Kursawe of Vega Protocol sits down to discuss blockchain layers, some of the problems with blockchain layer infrastructure that are affecting higher applications, what we can do to address this issue and what it means for every user.
Dr. Klaus Kursawe received his PhD from the University of Saarbruecken in collaboration with the IBM Research Labs in Zurich in 2001, working on issues of securely distributing services over unreliable networks.
Dr. Kursawe is a frequent speaker on both academic and industry conferences, and has been involved in various EU and US working groups as well as standardisation groups around security.
