About Pareto AA Tranche - FalconX USDC
AA_FalconXUSDC is the senior ("AA") tranche receipt token issued by Pareto Credit for the FalconX USDC private credit vault. Depositors supply USDC which is lent to FalconX, the institutional digital-asset prime broker, through a structured credit facility. The AA tranche holds the most-senior claim on repayment and accrues a fixed rate over USDC.
Pareto Credit (formerly Idle DAO's senior/junior tranche infrastructure) operates programmable institutional credit vaults on Ethereum. The FalconX Credit Vault channels USDC deposits into a structured credit facility for FalconX, a leading digital-asset prime broker that finances hedge funds, trading firms, and other institutional counterparties.
Tranche structure
The vault is split into two tranches via Pareto's Collateralised Debt Obligation (CDO) architecture, curated by M11 Credit:
- AA tranche (AA_FalconXUSDC) — senior class; receives principal and interest first, carries lower yield but highest capital protection.
- BB tranche (BB_FalconXUSDC) — junior/equity class; absorbs first losses in exchange for higher yield.
The CDO contract (0x433D5B175148dA32Ffe1e1A37a939E1b7e79be4d) mints both tranche
tokens, with USDC (0xA0b86991c6218b36c1d19D4a2e9Eb0cE3606eB48) as the sole
underlying asset. NAV accrues continuously; redemptions follow monthly mechanics
governed by the FalconX credit facility terms.
Composability
After the vault crossed $135 million in deposits, Pareto enabled AA_FalconXUSDC as collateral on Morpho (Steakhouse market) so holders can borrow additional USDC. Gauntlet and Aera Finance also offer a levered RWA loop strategy using these tokens.
Risk profile
The AA tranche is protected by the junior tranche equity buffer and transaction-level collateralisation, plus a real-time risk engine. Reserve attestations and quarterly ISAE 3000 assurance reports are published by the protocol. Pharos Watch publishes an independent risk profile for the token.
