flexUSD was a yield-bearing stablecoin issued by CoinFLEX exchange. It earned interest from lending markets while maintaining a USD peg. CoinFLEX filed for restructuring in 2022 and flexUSD is no longer actively maintained.
flexUSD was a yield-bearing stablecoin issued by CoinFLEX, a centralised cryptocurrency exchange. It was designed to accrue interest daily from CoinFLEX's repo lending markets, allowing holders to earn yield passively.
CoinFLEX encountered severe financial difficulties in mid-2022, halting withdrawals and filing for restructuring under the laws of the Seychelles in August 2022. Following the exchange's collapse, flexUSD lost its peg and is no longer redeemable at par. The project and the CoinFLEX exchange are considered defunct.
