What Is GRVT?
GRVT (pronounced “gravity”) is a perpetual future DEX built on ZKsync technology. GRVT operates as a hybrid exchange combining an off-chain order matching engine with on-chain settlement for high performance and transparency.
GRVT offers perpetual future trading pairs for popular cryptocurrencies. Unlike pure onchain perpetual exchanges like GMX, GRVT uses an order book model with off-chain matching and on-chain settlement, targeting institutional-grade performance while maintaining self-custodial properties.
A key differentiator of GRVT is its native support for trading vaults, called GRVT Strategy. These allow verified strategy managers to run professionally managed investment strategies on-chain, where retail investors can allocate capital. All strategies are non-custodial — managers control trading but cannot withdraw investor funds.
GRVT also operates its own in-house market making vault called the GRVT Liquidity Provider (GLP), similar to Hyperliquid Provider Vault on Hyperliquid and MegaVault on dYdX.
GRVT vault data is available through the Trading Strategy API, enabling users to benchmark GRVT vaults against DeFi vaults on Ethereum, other blockchains, and native vaults on other perpetual futures exchanges.
