Trading strategy
This strategy follows the momentum in Ethereum - based on the historically best moving average, using an optimized leverage for long & short positions.
Trades are executed once per day at UTC midnight. Long and short leverage levels are calibrated to the settings that delivered the strongest historical performance in backtests.
In backtests, the strategy outperformed buy-and-hold ETH in every 12-month period. Backtests suggest 92% annual alpha over buying and holding ETH. Gerhard already runs 2 out of the top 10 Hyperliquid vaults in terms of TVL
Risk management
Controlled approach with regard to portfolio exposure.
Historically, the strategy's maximum drawdown has been has been comparable to buying and holding Ethereum.
