Blockchain Capital is a venture capital firm founded in 2013 that invests in crypto companies, protocols and tokens. In 2017 it structured its third fund as a traditional limited partnership plus a parallel offering of BCAP, Ethereum tokens issued by a Singapore entity that represent fractional ownership of Blockchain Capital III Digital Liquid Venture Fund. The April 2017 token sale raised USD 10 million at USD 1 per token.
Blockchain Capital's December 2024 announcement describes the fund as an evergreen venture fund investing in the equity and digital assets of blockchain projects, whose tokens give accredited and non-US investors an indirect economic interest and cannot be redeemed. It also declared a first dividend of USD 0.25 per token in USDC, scheduled for January 2025, and a full move of BCAP from Ethereum to ZKsync Era.
In 2018 Blockchain Capital and Securitize announced an upgrade of BCAP to Securitize's platform to enforce the tokens' securities-law transfer restrictions. The tokenised fund and other Blockchain Capital funds have invested in Securitize and ZKsync.
