Ondo Finance builds tokenised financial products and has an asset management arm that creates and manages them. Ondo is not an independent curator: for USDY and OUSG, Ondo entities act as issuer and manager, run investor onboarding and publish prices, and no separate curator is disclosed.
USDY is a tokenised note, now issued by Ondo Global Markets (BVI) Limited, secured by short-term US Treasuries, Treasury ETF shares or bank deposits depending on when it was issued. It is available only to eligible non-US investors: minting and redemption require onboarding with the issuer, although the token can be transferred without onboarding.
OUSG represents shares in Ondo I LP, which holds mainly short-term US Treasury exposure through funds from managers such as State Street, BlackRock, Franklin Templeton and Fidelity. Only onboarded investors who are both accredited investors and qualified purchasers can hold or transfer it, and Ondo updates its NAV onchain each business day. Ondo states a 0.15% management fee, waived until 1 January 2027.
