What Is Aave?
In decentralised finance, Aave is one of the largest decentralised lending protocols and credit markets.
Aave was started in 2017 under EthLend name. Aave means a ghost in the Finnish language. The latest version, Aave v3, was launched in 2023. Aave has an ERC-20 token AAVE.
As the writing of this, Aave has been deployed several blockchains, including Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum and Optimism.
Aave has a protocol subset for real-world assets (RWAs) called Aave Arc.
