What Is Buy and hold?
In quantitative finance, a buy and hold trading strategy is to buy an asset and not sell it ever, or for a long period of time.
In cryptocurrency trading, this kind of trading strategy is called “diamond hands.”
The benefit of this kind of strategy is that you are not paying any trading fees. Holding an asset is usually free.
Even if you never sell the asset, you can use it as collateral and borrow money against it.
On of the most famous diamon hands are Michael Saylor and his company MicroStrategy that are only buying more and more bitcoin since 2019.
