Spark is a capital allocator in the Sky ecosystem that deploys stablecoin liquidity across DeFi, CeFi and real-world-asset markets through its Spark Liquidity Layer, where governance must pre-approve each venue and rate limits cap capital movements. Spark is a protocol-operated curator, not an independent one: it runs its own vaults under SPK token-holder governance set within the Sky Atlas.
Its Spark Savings vaults (spUSDC, spUSDT, spPYUSD, spUSDG and spETH) earn yield through the Spark Liquidity Layer at rates set by Spark governance. spUSDC, spUSDT and spPYUSD are fully backed by USDS, with Spark's junior risk capital first in line to absorb losses, and Spark can put the vaults into a recovery mode that temporarily halts withdrawals in the event of a potential loss. The legacy Spark USDC Vault (sUSDC) passes through the Sky Savings Rate instead.
On Morpho, Spark curates as SparkDAO: the Spark USDC Vault on Base and the Spark Blue Chip USDC and USDT vaults on Ethereum lend against what Spark describes as the lowest-risk crypto and real-world-asset collateral, and Morpho lists SparkDAO alongside Sentora as curator of the Sentora x Spark RLUSD vault.
