About the vault
Meridian Liquidity Provider (MLP) launches in two phases: a pre-deposit phase, in which capital is staged and earns a base yield, followed by a live trading phase running a cross-exchange market-making strategy.
Phase 1 — Pre-deposit. Deposits are held in USDe. For the duration of the pre-deposit phase, depositors earn the USDe base rate and accrue both Ethena points and Meridian points. No trading strategy is active during this phase and capital is not deployed to trading venues.
Phase 2 — Live trading. MLP runs a market-making strategy between Meridian perpetuals and external exchanges. Kappa Lab provides liquidity on one venue and manages the offsetting exposure on the other, so returns are driven by spread capture rather than by market direction. Strategy execution runs through Neutral Trade infrastructure.
