Sharp moves - for example, if ETH drops 10% in a day - can lead to impermanent loss. To help protect against large swings, the vault uses OTC options to hedge downside risk, although the cost of these hedges and the slippage often associated with rebalancing in volatile market conditions reduce overall returns.
