The Sylva Concentrated Liquidity Vault targets high yield by providing liquidity to a trading pair, typically ETH/USDC, within a narrow price range on Aerodrome or Velodrome. / The vault earns substantial yield from trading fees when prices remain inside this range, but if prices are volatile, the position can lose value day to day. Sharp moves - for example, if ETH drops 10% in a day - can lead to impermanent loss. To help protect against large swings, the vault uses OTC options to hedge downside risk, although the cost of these hedges and the slippage often associated with rebalancing in volatile market conditions reduce overall returns.
